Thanks for your comments Jerome and Richard. As Michael Card says in one of his worship songs, "When you look into your Judge's eyes, you see our Savior there." Thank God!

Hi there!

T. F. Torrance’s statement points to a key point of understanding. This point is that God’s judgment is based on belief in Jesus, or, as John would say, belief in the name of Jesus.

We live in a world that easily makes what we do the basis of judgment. However, God is into belief. This is good news for me in that I can never do stuff “good enough” to make the grade.

Amen, Ted. And thank You, Father in heaven, for giving all judgement to Jesus, Your Son! Thank You, Jesus for loving us to death, literally! Thank You, Holy Spirit for revealing the heart of the Father and Son! Thank You, Great God!
